About Us
We’re that couple who will absolutely drive two hours for a specific sandwich. He’s got a sixth sense for finding the next hot spot. I’m the former kitchen-avoider turned enthusiastic experimenter and together, this site is our love letter to good food and the people who make it.
We’ve worked in tech for a long time, so like the rest of you, we know that it connects us in incredible ways, but food is one of the few things that truly brings us together in the same room. The longer we spend building things and interacting online, the more we appreciate the simple act of making or sharing a meal in real life.
Whether you’re at a Michelin-starred counter or trying to get your kid to eat something green, we believe sharing a cooked meal is pretty much the most human thing there is. We’re here to share the most crave-worthy dishes in DC (and beyond). We break down what makes them special, and help you recreate a bit of that magic at home.
